While spring is at the doorstep, and buds are starting to appear; Amar Karma has declared the month of April to be a green month by involving businesses, politicians, writers and families to come together to support organ donation.
The Campaign kicked off on Friday April 5, as volunteers of Amar Karma held seminar at Save Max brokerage to raise awareness about organ donation followed by a session at JP Law office. The leading broker Raman Dua appealed to his staff to engage in the cause to save lives of many who are on the waiting list for organs as SaveMax also stands for saving. Green ribbons were worn by the participants and some of them had faces painted with Green ribbon being the sign of ‘life’. Save Max brokerage also provided refreshments to the attendees that had gathered to participate in the Green Movement.
Later the group held a session at JP Law firm, which also enthusiastically flagged their office green. The volunteers of Amar Karma have dedicated the month of April to set up booths at various Guruduaras and upcoming Khalsa Parades starting from Vaisakhi booth at Sikh Leher Guruduara, Sunday April 14, followed by Booth at Malton Guruduara on April 21 and also both major Sikh Parades. Member of Parliament Parm Gill has also joined hands at the green movement endorsing organ donation.
The group extends an open invitation to all business, politicians and families to take part in the green movement. More information can be found at www.amarkarma.org
