Umbilical Cord Blood Donation
Umbilical Cord Blood Donation: Cord of Love Campaign in support of Victoria Angel Registry of Hope
When a baby is born, the umbilical cord is cut. The blood left in the umbilical cord and placenta contains millions of stem cells. Long after birth, the umbilical cord can continue to sustain life and save lives. Its nutrient-rich blood contains stem cells. These have been used to successfully treat over 80 different diseases, including: leukemia, Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Anemia, and lymphoma.
