About the job
The ideal candidate will create and maintain a strong online presence for our organization. They will implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts in an effort to increase brand awareness. Additionally, this individual will understand the target audience and create an appropriate strategy to reach this group.
This is a Canada Summer Job 2021 and position with a start date of October 15.
Requirements:
· Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.

Collect and create online content with input from internal stakeholders
Qualifications

Experience in non-profit industry a must

Digital Media skills

Expertise at grant writing and proposal writing

Applicants must have proven skills in graphic design. photography, audio/video editing.

Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other emerging platforms, including best practices and analyzing analytics.

Strong content writing/editing

Responsibilities

Maintain regular contact with funding organizations and report on program activities in
intervals mutually established between funder and Amar Karma

Grant writing expertise and previous non-profit experience a must

Identify knowledge, skills, and abilities required to fulfill volunteer roles and refer to

appropriate resources

Develop opportunities for capacity building and personal development among volunteers;

With other contracted staff and the Board, recognize volunteers through both formal and

informal appreciation measures

Document and address volunteer and staff concerns

Provide guidance, training and support to volunteers

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
The ideal candidate will have education and experience in the area of social determinants of health
(e.g. social work, health sciences, community development, leadership); experience in program
management and volunteer management; or working with organizations that engage volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience as a leader and motivator, and previous experience as a volunteer·

Serve as a member of the Program Committee.

Research new and innovative teaching programs and tools in Canada and abroad.

Support fundraising, special events and campaigns as required.

Support and lead program volunteers, if any.

Assist with administrative functions as required.

Closely monitor social media progress and daily updates
Requirements & Qualifications
· Overall excellent management skills required and able to work independently
· Experience creating functional requirements for learning projects
· Collaborative, creative and focused
· Outcomes-oriented
· Data management and data collection/design experience
· Cross-sector education experience preferably in the not-for-profit sector
· Adult learning experience, preferable with marginalized persons
· Creative thinking skills and strong ability to focus on tasks and objectives
· Experience in a management capacity
· Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
· Excellent computer skills using Excel, PowerPoint, Word and more.
· Experience generating and assessing reports.
